- What aluminium alloy grade do you use for cable trays?
- We manufacture aluminium cable trays from 6061-T6 (structural strength, excellent corrosion resistance) and 6063-T5 (better formability, ideal for extrusions). For marine applications, 5052-H32 alloy with enhanced saltwater resistance is also available.
- Are aluminium cable trays suitable for use with copper cables?
- Aluminium cable trays are compatible with all cable types. For copper cables, we recommend using stainless steel hardware (bolts and clips) at connection points to prevent galvanic corrosion between the aluminium tray and copper cable fittings.
- Can aluminium cable trays be used in high-temperature environments?
- Aluminium maintains its structural integrity up to approximately 150°C for continuous service. For environments above this temperature, pre-galvanized or stainless steel cable trays are more appropriate.
