FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) cable trays are moulded from glass fibre strands embedded in a thermosetting polymer resin (polyester or vinyl ester). FRP trays are non-conductive, non-magnetic, extremely corrosion resistant and lightweight — the preferred choice for chemical plants, offshore platforms and environments where steel would rapidly corrode.

- We offer polyester resin FRP trays for general corrosive environments (cost-effective, good acid resistance) and vinyl ester resin FRP trays for aggressive chemical environments including strong acids, alkalis and solvents. Vinyl ester FRP trays are also the preferred choice for offshore applications.
- Are FRP cable trays fire retardant?
- Our fire-retardant (FR) grade FRP cable trays have a flame spread index of 25 or less (ASTM E84 Class 1) and pass BS 6853 flame spread tests. Standard natural GRP trays also offer self-extinguishing properties. Fire retardant trays are mandatory for offshore, tunnels and public buildings.
